Casa Dance Studio Competition Team
In addition to the Performance Group and Dance Companies, Casa Dance Studio offers a Competition Team for those dancers who would like to test their skills against other dancers.
Because competition has entry fees and is a contest where winning is the objective there are more stringent requirements for membership on the Competition Team. Please read the requirements below. If you feel you can meet the requirements and would like to become a member of the CDS Competition Team please type your name and have your parent type his/her name in the appropriate box and press the submit button.
By typing your name you are agreeing to abide by all the requirements.
*All dancers may be part of the CDS Class Competition Team by participating in one or more dance classes and competing with one or more class dances.
Dancers age 3 to 7 may participate in the Little Elite Competition Team. Dancers 8 & up may participate in the Elite Competition Team. Elite Teams will learn one or more additional dances and have regular rehearsals on Saturdays Sept to May.
*All CDS Little Elite Comp Team members must take Ballet, Tap, Jazz**
*All CDS Elite Comp Team members must take Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical, Modern**
(**Acro is also recommended)
*All CDS Comp Team members (Class or Elite) may not miss more than 7 technique classes total in any combination of classes per season
*Every 3 classes of being 5 minutes or more late will be counted as 1 absence
*All CDS Comp Team members may not miss more than 2 rehearsals
*All CDS Comp Team members must be willing and able to attend any and all competitions and performances required by the choreographer or director
*All CDS Comp Team members must be able to perform any part of the dance(s) by themselves at any time at the request of the choreographer or director. Failure to be able to competently perform the dance(s) will be cause for the dancer(s) to be withdrawn from any upcoming competitions and performances until the dancer(s) can perform the dance(s) individually, without help to the satisfaction of the choreographer and/or director
*All CDS Comp Team members must participate in all Team fundraisers
Dancer and parent must sign below to be able to participate on the CDS Comp Team
I have read and understood all of the above and agree to abide by all of the requirements without question. I understand that if I am unable to meet any of the requirements I will be unable to participate in any upcoming competitions and/or performances until such a time as I can meet the requirements to the satisfaction of the choreographer and/or director.
